- I am a retired teacher who is married to an adventurer. Jim retired from the USMC, and thus far since that time, we have lived three times in Africa, once in Japan, once in Korea, and three times in the US. Whew! Currently, we are refugees of sort having just arrived in Equatorial Guinea in Sept. 08 and being kicked out of the country in January 09 due to Jim's bringing in security manuals. The government (specifically the Vice Minister of Security) has decided my wonderful, sweet husband is trying to formulate a coupe d'etat. Unbelievable! So, here I sit in the Hilton Garden Inn and Refugee Camp trying to figure out how in God's green earth we got into this.
